2. How many times have the Dyfed-Powys Police used the Diversion Scheme since 1st November 2019
3. How many Neuro-Diverse people have been put on the Diversion Scheme?
4. What is considered by Dyfed-Powys Police as a low level offence which is eligible for an out-of-court disposal?

Response 1:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does not have one specific ‘equality policy’ as such but we do have our Strategic Equality Plan which is outlined in the below hyperlink:

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

• From 1st November 2019 to the end of July 2022 – 1,741 individuals have been referred into the scheme.

I can confirm that there is no information held/recorded by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to this part of your request.

I can confirm that Dyfed-Powys Police does hold the information requested, the details of which are as follows:

• Dyfed Powys use the Gravity Matrix tool to assist in the decision making process as to whether an offender is eligible for an out of court disposal. Low level offences would include offences such as Common assault – battery, criminal damage under £5000, possession of Class B or C drug, drunk and disorderly, Section 5 public order.

It should be noted that owing to the systems adopted by Dyfed-Powys Police in relation to the recording of such matters the information provided may or may not be accurate. However, the systems used for recording these figures are not generic, nor are the procedures used locally in capturing the data.  It should be noted that for these reasons this Force’s response to your questions should not be used for comparison purposes with any other response you may receive.
