Police respond to serious assault report in Lampeter

There is a large police presence in the Forest Road area of Lampeter as officers undergo a search for a suspect in connection to a serious assault.

The suspect could attempt to hitch hike, and members of the public are being warned not to stop for anyone on the side of the road at this time.

Road checks are also being carried out on the A485, south of Llangeitho, in connection to the search.

The man is thought to be wearing a khaki coat, and dark green trousers. If anyone sees the man, they are asked not to approach him but to report it to police by calling 999.
